Join us for an hour of free music, free coffee, and free snacks! ************************************************************** ARTISTS PERFORMING: Deja Deja is an eighteen-year-old musical artist who embodies all the irony in the term “indie-pop.” She writes her original songs on guitar with an authenticity that innocently cuts to the bone and sets her apart as an independent artist. With hints of soul in her soft yet powerful vocals, Deja reveals a rare depth and unguarded honesty in her pristine approach to making music and writing poetic lyrics. Subtly exploring both dark and light sides of life and love in her songwriting, the beyond-her-years-essence of Deja’s artistry is almost alarming upon first listen. She goes against the grain in era, genre, and trend. There is no stereotype into which she falls. Deja is a wholly original, natural-born artist. Gil Mosard Gil Mosard started playing guitar and harmonica and writing songs in the early 1970’s. In 1978 at the age of 30, he produced an LP of 19 of his songs with his friend David Hitchcock as the lead singer. Gil stopped writing songs for over 30 years until he began performing at Sam Ash Music’s weekly Open Mic Nights in 2012.
