I can't log in to backstage. How do i get help?
Go to https://members.songsalive.org/sign_in and add your email and password to log in. If you can't remember your password, use the Forgot password link right under the login. Here is a screenshot below to guide you. Once inside you can change your email address, to hotemail if you prefer but do let me know here as we also have you on our mailing list with gmail. What is Songsalive! and how can it help me?
Songsalive!® is the largest international non-profit membership organization and social community for songwriters and composers, since 1997. Songsalive! is a is a grassroots, philanthropic, volunteer managed charity organization run by songwriters for songwriters and is dedicated to nurturing, support, education and promotion of songwriters and composers worldwide. Through our grassroots international efforts, we’ve put a stamp on what “global community” truly is and it’s the type of community that is definitely needed in this ever changing music business where songwriting can be a very isolating experience and career.
We provide a "home", a family, for songwriters and composers through our programs, resources, community and support, all focused on the art and business of songwriting. It acts as an epicenter, a heart of the international songwriting community and music markets, bridging the gaps, tapping songwriters into the pulse of the business and at the same time giving them and their music the support they deserve. Through Songsalive!, songs and songwriters can be accessed by the whole world and when the hunt is on, Songsalive! is a one-stop song shop! Our Team live around the world and are all volunteers. How much does a Songsalive! Membership cost?
Songsalive! pricing starts at $99 per year or $11.99 a month for our standard membership. As a non-profit organization, we survive on membership and sponsorship. We've kept our membership rates around the same price for 15 years! Join here.
Who is eligible to join Songsalive!?
Anyone can join but it's ideally suited for songwriters, composers and lyricists, as well as music enthusiasts or music inudstry professionals looking to collaborate with songwriters, composers and lyricists.
Can I expense my Songsalive! Membership?
Yes you can. Your membership is completely tax-deductible as you are donating to a non-profit 501c)3) organization.
I'm a current Member of Songsalive! How do I log in and access backstage and my member benefits?
Log in at members.songsalive.org We do not use Simplero anymore for our backstage membership site. We now use a really cool platform via Mighty Networks. If you were a member previously on Simplero platform with us, we sent you an email to migrate to the new backstage platform. Look for that email in your inbox from us. It will provide you instructions on moving/converting over. It says "your exclusive invitation". If you don't hear from us, or you need your login/password, please look in your spam folder, or you can reach out to [email protected] and we will sort it out.
What is the typical time commitment?
To get the most out of Songsalive!, we recommend that members spend a minimum of 1 hour per week accessing the benefits and features in our backstage app at members.songsalive.org, as well as join the monthly online workshop (3rd Sundays of the month for 3 hours).
I can't afford the membership, what are my options?
If you have financial difficulties paying membership, but want to be involved, please email us at [email protected] to discuss discount options. We evaluate financial hardship case by case and cannot always approve these. Please write to us on what those circumstances are via email, and provide any supporting documentation. Often if you are a student, pensioner or have an extreme financial case, we will do our best to support that. We also are always looking for volunteers to help us with our events and services, which can offset your membership and sometimes make it free.
I've never been a member of Songsalive! or I'm expired. Why should I join now?
Take a look at our benefits and see if it works for you. For starters, back in 2018 we launched a brand new Mobile App (available on iOS and Android) and that just made our global social community that.much.better.
I want to cancel my membership. How do I do that?
You can do this in 2 ways:

No you don't need to be a member to come to many of our events except the Songsalive! Song Sessions (Song Critique Workshops) and Songcamp are exclusively for members. Anyone can come to our Songsalive! Showcases. See our calendar

If you want to unsubscribe from us completely, let us know at [email protected], or scroll to the bottom of any email you get from us and hit the unsubscribe button. Please note that if you do this, and if you were a paying member, we will instantly cancel your membership and we do not offer refunds.
