music and support our Songsalive! national and international live events and
showcases presenting songwriters and artists of original music. Songsalive! also
connects you to shows presented by other organizations. Showcases are conducted
globally. The Songsalive! Showcases are the best industry secret, a great
happening all around the world. Songsalive! Showcases are a very cozy, intimate
and acoustic environment where media and music industry representatives often

Workshops
Songsalive! holds workshops where songwriters gather to share their songs, gain feedback and develop relationships within the songwriting communities we have created around the world. The first half is solely dedicated to an in-the-round workshop
where writers present one song each - either on tape, CD or live - followed by a guest speaker/industry discussion in the second half and plenty of time to talk and network.

Local News
Support Act Limited (SAL), the registered charity set up
to help those in the music industry who are suffering hardship, has appointed a
part time fundraising and administration manager. Joanna Forman took up the
position at the end of June, and brings with her experience from the publishing
and not for profit sector. This role will see Joanna take responsibility for
non welfare related activities and be a point of contact for the organisation.
A priority will be to source funding from different areas, such as Government
and the corporate sector, to help maintain SAL's level of assistance to
applicants, as well as growing SAL's membership base. If you would like to
discuss SAL and the work it does, or if you are able to offer assistance with
fundraising or other areas, please contact Joanna on 02 9332 4424 or email administration@supportact.com.au.
SAL organises several key events throughout the year, one of which is Music in
