ARTISTS PERFORMING:
JO D'ANNA:
Jo D'Anna is a native SF Bay Area singer-songwriter. She originally studied guitar in Palo Alto with Jerry Garcia, has been writing songs since 1990, and has been an award-winning prior member of West Coast Songwriters Association. She has performed in the greater Bay Area coffeehouse circuit since 1993, and has released two CD's: "Alouwenja" (1995) and "As She Is" (2007). She has also performed on community radio and in local folk and music festivals in Marin, Berkeley and San Francisco. Inspired by the folk-revival songwriter icons of the 60's and 70's, Jo's signature poetic rhythmic folk-rock songs--comprised of solid musical composition, sound fingerstyle guitar technique and a storytelling lyric--are often said to transport the listeners to another time and place.

Katie Garibaldi is a touring singer/songwriter/guitarist from the San Francisco Bay Area, and San Francisco coordinator for Songsalive! Her latest, and 6th full-length album, Next Ride Out, has catapulted this acoustic-Americana artist's career into top speed. Katie has been named a Music Connection Magazine Top 100 Live Unsigned Artist, winner of the 2011 DIY Music Festival in Los Angeles and, Katie is a Luna Guitars and Reunion Blues endorsed artist. Katie sings with an emotional nearness that, in combination with her melodic and catchy songs and her soulful and expressive vocals, captures her audience wherever she performs. The prolific songwriter has a characteristic musical style wherein her equally pop- and country-tinged folk-rock gives her a distinct and edgy sound—Americana with a twist of sparkling pop.
