Patrice Bivins
With a strong background as an athlete/gymnast, Patrice has used her Olympic mentality in the music business with high finesse. Not long after, a matrimonial path landed her in a family unbeknownst to her of a talented, up and coming male group, who would soon hit the top of the charts and start the boy bands craze. As New Edition and the likes of New Kids on the Block began their careers, being in the New Edition family, Patrice experienced an internship like no other. She began to learn the different phases of the music business. Patrice worked with several solo artists and groups on (artist development) which included imaging, self-confidence, self-control, vocal techniques, song selection, demo session, packaging and song submission for record deal considerations. She independently managed a member of one of the hottest R&B girl groups called Brownstone, who were first to sign through Sony’s (MJJ Records) Michael Jackson’s record label. She also worked with renowned singer Brenda Holloway, who wrote several hits while signed to Motown Records back in the day. They included “Every Little Bit Hurts” and “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy”.
